The Old Jewish Cemetery, Prague - February 2006

With the Burial Societies long since disbanded, Nathalie contemplates a ray of sunlight among the 100,000 or so souls piled up before her. It is the future - a business case for surviving for yet a few more years. The case pre-supposed the existence of Kit Kat Wrappers and Egg-Shell Skull - the Czech Republic's notorious Hip-Hop duo. It hinges on an inverted comma found on page 15 of Kierkegaard's Fear and Trembling.

The afternoon was devoted mainly to garnet and crystal shopping.
